Norwegian hotel in Kirkenes (Kirkenes Snow Hotel) will deliver to apartments on the dog sled. This service will be the first of its kind throughout the country. According to the authors, this idea will attracted more tourists to the city.
The first dog trip from the airport to the hotel was started in the morning of Wednesday, January 29. Journey lasted 45 minutes. Along the way, passengers were able to admire the views and see herds of reindeer. It's expected that the sled-dogs will start regular races on the permanent basis.
The sled-dog trip will cost 2300 NOK (which is about 275 euros). For start this service, the hotel must have the support of the municipal authorities, security forces and the Office for Supervision of deer in the region. Kirkenes is located in north-eastern Norway, about eight kilometers from the border with Russia. Its population is about 3,500, also the city has an international airport.
